simple summer pleasures
its august
washing your feet
when arm hair catches the light
first sip of green tea, remembering how good it is again
smells carried by the breeze: grass and motorway
or when an evening meal travels in the breeze and ignites your hunger
noticing my hand and palm colours, distanced
reading to savour
warm brew, dewy mornings
juice dripping down chins
irises of red blooming on shoulders - evidence of a good day outdoors
endless, expansive time, and all its promises
What would you add to this list?
What story is behind each pleasure?
Let me know.
